Having now read Alan Bell's book in its entirety I think that we should not be surprised that the higher management gets themselves into extraordinary problems. They certainly showed little understanding of the real world or just being sensitive and straightforward. So I am hardly surprised given what Alan tells us about the way the Executives behave.
