If so what Flavours have you tried, how did it work for you in the sense of printers and other devices working out of the box, I have been trying differnt versions over the last couple of weeks and only two have been pretty easy to get working fully without spending hours trying to get basic devices working.
I have also found that the Brave browser blocks adverts without having to install extensions, which probably works on most platforms

In the past I would have given some of these a try with various results. There was another called Ubuntu I seen to remember was one I preferred the most.

I'm still on the fence. I like the idea, mostly to get away from a company that's all but a monopoly, but all of my peripheral devices work by default with Microsoft. So does nearly all of my software.

I don't think you'd have much trouble with the peripherals and the 3rd party (Wine/Bottle etc) support to run Window$ $oftware is improving almost daily. (Though a little legwork would be needed)

I have Ubuntu running on a mini PC, streaming all my video collection from my NAS with no problems, for my main PC I am using Mint which did work 99% out of the box, using bottles for the couple of windows apps that I have not yet found a replacement for yet, at this rate I will be ditching windows totally soon.
