By the sound of things it needs what is called in parks and museums as "interpretive" design and layout assistance. Likewise what keeps visitors returning is some form of rotating theme-based exhibit program(me). It doesn't have to be complicated but it does take some work, planning and publicizing.

We've been enjoying watching Mapperton Live on youtube. They are set near the coast as well in Dorset which seems to get a lot of rain. It would be nice though I agree to be so close to the coast.

Unknown. Britbox is available in the US for a relatively small monthly fee so not sure, sorry..

Not on R1 DVD's (for reasons unknown), but I can watch the first few seasons on Britbox.
