Great to see that a new DVD release - Last Of The Summer Wine The Christmas Specials Volume 1 - is available to pre-order on Amazon for just £6.00 and is being released on 3rd November 2014.

Sadly, Juliette Kaplan reports that the BBC have decided there will be no more Summer Wine, so let's enjoy the final series when it's shown this year. The end of an era.....

I think that the show has probably been saved because of Russ Abbot and Brian Murphy. Russ Abbot's character of 'Hobbo' has a lot of potential and the next series I'm sure we will see this even more. Brian Murphy's 'Alvin' has had some wonderful lines this last series too. I am a huge fan of the...
