Well, The Secret Birthday of Norman Clegg is one of my all time favourite episodes so that is an easy choice...I've also gone with Ancient Eastern Wisdom which has a fun plot

    New Series 23 Poll

Sadly Madly Bradly is the standout episode of this series for me, and I've gone for A Chaise Longue too far which is a fun episode too :)

    External Noise

i quite like the occasional other noise. There's a moment in the "Divided we Stand" episode of Steptoe and Son (the one where Harold partitions the house) where you see Albert walking past and all you can see above the partition is his hat, and you can hear one of the audience members laughing...

    Unusual Picture for the collector

I would guess that it's a photograph taken during some charity/publicity event. EDITED TO ADD - and here you go, here's another copy of the photo plus info. It's from 1989 according to this...

What about all the Christmas eps? Will there be a 32nd poll allowing us to choose 2 or 3 from all the specials. My favourite episode of all time is Whoops which hasn't appeared in the polls yet.

    New Series 15 Poll

this is a poor series...Black Widow is by far the best episode for me, and i went for Aladdin, just because the final scene with them on the water is a perfect bit of long shot physical comedy and always makes me roar with laughter.

    New Series 14 Poll

this is hard..we're into the section of the series that i found least enjoyable, it's not till Truly arrives that the quality improves...still, I went for "Camera Shy" and "Salad Strainer", both have some good moments in the,

    Last Post and Pigeon

Bill Owen didn't play the Bugle in Last Post and Pigeon, he was miming it...but he certainly could play it in real life. Alan Bell shares a story in Andrew Vine's book about the scene (one of the last he recorded)

    Jane Freeman in Blackadder

You can also see Sarah Thomas (Glenda) in the next episode in the series. She's briefly (as in she dies 30 seconds into the episode) in the story "Witchsmeller Persuivant" (interestingly and oddly, both Sarah and Jane's characters are married to characters played by the same actor "Howard Lew...

    The Golden Years!!

Yes, for example in "Whoops" the bus they get on at the end is going to Holmfirth. A later indication that they're in Holmfirth is in the episode "All that Glitters is not Elvis", in which they pass "Holmfirth Methodist Church"

Someone please explain this to me...

if you click on each one, and select episodes you can see what's on each dvd. on "Vintage 1995" and on "vinatage 1995 reserve" in other words, as George says, they are the 2 series broadcast in 1995, although strangely, the first (vintage 1995) is series 17 broadcast september-november 95...

Serenade For Tight Jeans And Metal Detector

A Bicycle Made For Three featured a junk/second hand shop where they bought all the bike bits to make their own. As to whether there's a link, there was a 6 year gap between these episodes and Crums where auntie was introduced, so I think it's unlikely

1987 Christmas Special; Big Day at Dream Acres

I quite like it, but it is certainly a bit overlong It's also the last appearance of Crusher, and the first appearance of Tony Capstick as a policeman. By the way, does anyone know what the tune that the Brass Band play towards the end of this episode? It's also used for Compo's funeral as...

They've had a secondary Wallace voice for years now, used in adverts and computer games. His name is Ben Whitehead. As far as I know, Peter is still used for the major works.
