Very informative video with beautiful animation.

Forty five years ago today The Pretenders seminal debut album 'Pretenders' was released. I still have the cassette which amazingly still plays.

I created and uploaded this video to YouTube over ten years ago now. This song, among the most popular folk songs in Ireland, covered by countless artists was actually written by Staffordshire couple Phil and June Colclough after holidaying in the southwest of Ireland.

I was outdoor staff, we worked on underground and overhead plant. More enjoyable in fine summer weather but a different story in winter, up the Dublin mountains climbing ladders in a snow storm, hands frozen stiff. And no, I do not miss it one little bit either :)

I know if we were running jumpers, if that's what he's doing here they would need to be formed into a neat harness or loom. If my inspector saw us doing this there would be hell to pay :oops:
