    Has Anyone spotted this

Hopefully we'll get a bit more of an deeper insight into the show , I have the Open All Hours 50 years of Laughter documentary from Channel 5 and there was another similar show so it has been well covered but having "Granville" present it will perhaps offer a different perspective on the show.

    A few random thoughts

Episode Edie and the Automobile was on the other day where Barry having sat in the car with Edie driving is so shocked he calls Glenda by the name Brenda. The thing I noticed about the episode was how young Barry but particularly Brenda were.

    Storms

Michael Fish took all the blame and quite rightly so but I believe Bill Giles had stated " It might be a bit breezy in the channel" I am sure he was then renamed Bill Gales after that and it has stuck since then . :)

    A few random thoughts

The only exception in this perpetual loop is series 30 episode 1 I was a Hitman for Primrose Dairies , which is considered a Special and a Christmas episode, as it was shown first on New Years Eve . There are people at U and Gold who still believe it is a Christmas Episode, totally laughable as...

    Clocks

In former years and parodied on TV when people retired their parting gift was always a clock or a watch , the last thing you need when idling your days away.

    Clocks

You don't see them much now but Cuckoo Clocks were really popular at one time , would I have one - no . I'm in the Harold K Steptoe camp , remember Come Dancing episode where he initially nails the cuckoo's door shut and then after the embarrassing episode of learning the old man has taught him...

    Conkers

Just back from Malaga and their edible cousins are being roasted on every corner really popular with the Spanish . There is a myth that conkers if kept in the house they would repel flies and spiders but sadly there is no evidence that it is true great shame because most conkers are never...

    Clocks

Working on Computer systems from the early eighties I dreaded the two clock changes it was an absolute mare with mainframe systems and all the programmes that ran on them , the impact now I imagine is negligible given what our phones and tech o/s are capable of . When the change was done we'd...

    Hello - New member here!

I was an honest[ish] plunderer of treasure , scourge of the Spanish Main and Batley City Centre but that scoundrel Commander Willoughby was a total cad and bounder and deserved everything he got . Surreptitiously flogging copies of a map identifying where my treasure was buried when in truth it...

    Happy Heavenly Birthday John Lennon

Great picture this week of 4 of the Sumo wrestlers appearing at the Royal Albert Hall walking across the Abbey Road crossing . It got me thinking which 4 members of the LOTSW cast across every episode do you think deserve to be pictured on the crossing?
