I don't know if you still need a platform ticket in a UK railway station anymore. You did have to pay at one time to go onto the platform, even if you didn't actually go on a train.
There was a policeman near the road crossing in Stuart's leg, when the trio and Sid were carrying the ladder to the cafe. I wonder if he might have been a real policeman, there for crowd or traffic control?
Well, when I have to go, I really HAVE to go, so it's a good job our town has plenty of toilets, and all within quick walking distance of all parts of the town.
