you mentioned bruce willis dick, had to respond to that...i havnt got the time of day for the man.....plays all these hero characters, i dont expect him to be anything like that of course in real life, but when 9/11 happened he cancelled his visit to the uk because, i am led to believe he was...

    Clumsy Cleggy

i agree, peters motor skills arent very good, through the whole lifetime of the series he has always seemed a little uncoodrinated , even when you see him clapping in later years it does'nt sit right, he is always awkward, but then who is perfect and it does'nt detract from his wonderful acting...

All Apropos of Nothing At All

i hope you do big unc, the early rincewind books are relatively short so if you dont get drawn in then its not like ploughing through war and peace....later books tend to be longer.

All Apropos of Nothing At All

totally agree rhi, once you get started you cant put them down........start from the beginning though, you can read the books cold so to speak, but better if you have the background from the start.

All Apropos of Nothing At All

number one terry pratchett fan sue, i've read them all too and just started ploughing through again from the beginning, interesting to see how his books changed from the early rincewind centred novels to focusing much more on ankh morpork with vimes always in the foreground or background.

    Has John gone again?

well as you say its his choice, if he feels its difficult to remain part of the community then fair enough, and it is a community.

    Favourite episodes (well today anyway)

watched "a quiet drink" last night for the first time in ages...was wonderfully refreshing.....looked up the colliers arms and found a photograph from later in the 70's and it had a large stone extension built on the front, but couldnt find anything later...does anyone know if its still there.

Cast That Had The 'Yourksheer' Accent

nothing wrong with dick van dyke as an actor, seen him in many films but his english accent in films ruins them for me...as for the yorkshire accent being kind of cute i dont think many yorkshire people would appreciate it being described as such.
