    Renovations

Thanks Peri. It would be great to see "after" pics - not sure if they will be taken by me, though as uncertain when I will be able to return to Holmfirth, but will live in hope!

    This might keep you guessing

The only one I could think of was Glenda who once appeared in the cafe dressed as Dick Whittington's cat but I can't think of any connection between her and the Co-op and White Horse though.

    A New Quiz #3

Is this the one you are thinking of Terry? The Man Who Nearly Knew Pavarotti - Foggy goes to Billy Ingleton's house, and his wife tells Foggy that Billy has lost confidence in playing at the concert and has gone off somewhere.

I've never met anyone as fascinating as my one true love - Money.

Wear the coolest possible clothes and appreciate it while it is here because one thing is for sure, it won't last!

    This might keep you guessing

Annoyed at myself for not knowing one involving a cat, but all I can think of is the dog I don't have ... a Scooby Doo.

Cars with no "LIDS " on.

Two spotted in Holmfirth, I have done a little colouring job on the number plates to preserve the owners' privacy.

100 years too long to wait for a train.

I much prefer trains to buses but on a long journey the connections can sometimes be a bit hair-raising if you only have a few minutes and have no idea which platform to go to. I must say the staff are always extremely helpful, though.

ITV's all male comedy writing ban

I agree this is political correctness gone mad. It was probably an idea put forward with the best of intentions but in practice, having a "token" female or females in a male writing team (or vice versa - token male(s) in female writing team) would seem so forced and artificial and I'm sure...

the famous steps from a different angle

Actually that sounds a good idea - a local holiday, "Last of the Summer Wine Day", and a fête - something like the big day at Dream Acres. (Ladies and gentlemen could make up their own minds about which form of footwear/hosiery they wanted to wear!)

    CATS

Sorry to hear your cats are getting on in years, Adanor. I presume the photo by your name is one of them? Do you have any other photos?? would love to see them. And sorry to hear of your cat's operation and health problems BruceC, I certainly agree with what you say about the death of a pet...

    A New Quiz #1

With it being a multiple of 3, I was wondering if it might have been a (very old!) price of 3 teas at the cafe but that's not based on any memory of an episode, just a pure guess.

    Marina's little car

Yes, a shame it was not used more! Could have had some interesting story lines. But maybe it would have made it "too easy" for Howard and Marina to get about.

    My wife's birthday.

Belated happy birthday wishes to Mrs Peri!

    Wesley's Garage Odd Scene

I did the same thing, it's good just to visit the spot and imagine it there!

    Jackson Bridge

Photo of Jackson Bridge showing a teeny tiny Hill Street. I remember seeing an episode (the title escapes me) that shows a panoramic view of the villages, and being struck at how close together Jackson Bridge and Scholes actually are.
