    It was a bit of a risk leaving it so late. I thought it might be due to the availability of a guest star, but Jean Alexander was the only principal actor other than the usual cast. If I could find the document it might also have the studio and audience record dates.

    According to one of the documents I've seen - there's so much stuff I can't lay my hands on it right now - the location filming dates for “What’s Santa Brought for Nora Then?” were 26 November to 3 December 1989!

    Typical tv trope - anything that has wires and goes wrong will explode! Also ... that's an indoor connection box, not suitable for all weather use. Even if it was mains electricity, it would be rare for it to explode!

    There was a pool like that near where I lived, it's under an industrial estate now. The school I went to had an outside swimming pool, it too had fallen in to disrepair, but was still full of water and overgrown with weed.

    Sadly, more likely, cost and practicality ... you'd need stunt performers, a bit of health and safety, and probably duplicate bikes adapted for stunt work... One of Arkwright's bikes was adapted, he rides round a corner and the front wheel rolls down the hill by itself ... followed by Arkwright...
