    In the water

At the very end of Cashflow Problems, Compo is in a wetsuit diving for coins in the fountain and ends up soaking Nora in the face with his snorkel, and also splashes her more with his fins.

    A couple of Compo questions.

It's a pickle !! I remember the first time I saw that I laughed so hard I had tears rolling. I've seen it probably 50 times now and I still laugh, just not with tears now. :D

    foggy's ties

Sorry Darrin, but I'm from the older generation that didn't get their feelings hurt every time someone blinked too hard at them. I have never seen such a generation that have to be coddled so much. Quite frankly, I'm fed up with all this politically correct junk. I think one of the reasons that...

    Edith clegg tombstone

In many different episodes it was referenced how all the main characters knew each other and their antics in their school days. Yet there were distances in their real life ages. The acting was so well done though that it was easily believable. I remember one instance in which Compo was joking...

    Wit vs slapstick

I agree here also. I know the scenes were written for the comedy that's intended, but some were stretched too far past being believable. For me, the worst example is when the boys are trying to measure Nora's feet on the ladder. When their ladder falls backwards into the river, we're supposed to...

    Edith clegg tombstone

In information I've read about "First Of The Summer Wine", that series is supposed to be taking place in 1939 and Clegg's age is given as 18 at the time. If Edith were born in 1900, that would mae her 21 years older than Norman.

    Favorite one-off characters

It might have been nice to see Smiler's wife at least a few more times. She seemed like she would have made a good accomplice with Nora and Ivy.

    Miss Jones

In Ordeal By Trousers, they were in the library when Compo dropped the beetle down Foggy's pants.

    In the water

Hey Sue, does it count when Compo cranked his hand siren up and Wesley wet her with his paint tray? HaHa!
