    Wit vs slapstick

Yes I am for the wit too and I also prefer the Clegg of earlier years that is to say as far as his relations with the "Female Person" went. I also preferred the smaller cast though I can understand the necessity of the larger as the three main Actors got older. One of my top ten as it were is "...

    First episode

Yes I do agree I love the Blamire era too, the dialogue is wonderful, I believe it was shown a little later in the evening than the later series. one of my favourites is "The changing face of Rural Blamire" it has me in stitches.

    Worst Semi-Regular(s)/Worst Regular Character(s)

I have always felt that it was a very difficult task to re-create the magic of the early series :- Sid and Ivy, Nora and Wally, the wonderful Clegg and Compo plus for me at any rate the best of the third Blamire, Foggy and Seymour. Edie and Wesley fitted in well as I don't think they were...

    Miss Jones

One female character I really liked was "Lilly Bless 'Er" (sorry not quite sure how to spell it) from Getting Sam Home, a lovely warm hearted person and so funny.

    Unforgetable Phrases

A lovely moment in the episode that has the title about some one called Ludovic I think, anyway Clegg is sitting in a car seat in the middle of the road with that wonderful world weary look of his and says :- "A van with an ejector seat, now there's a novelty !!"

    Jaws

I have to confess that its the content of the episode that matters most to me, not where the kitchen is :) ! I love the way Edie keeps giving Clegg his cap back every time he puts it on the table, Peter is so good at being funny without saying a word. :) :)

    Things that irritate you

Hmm there are always those who find amusement in trying to shock and provoke, the same sex couples I know and have known would not dream of behaving in such a way, it would seem they are very immature individuals who think it is funny to embarrass. I think ignoring them is the best way to handle...
