I liked him too but I found myself thinking of him more as a slightly mad inventor type of Professor than an ex Headmaster and yes "Three men and a mangle" is priceless. Another of my favourites is "Oh shut up and eat your choc-ice" I also think at times in later years there was a tad too much...
I Often watch the pilot on utube, I love it and all the really early ones, 'The changing face of rural Blamire' and 'Ballad for wind instruments and canoe' are two of my favourites. They are so fresh and the dialogue is wonderful.
Both my parents died in the same year when I was in my early thirties, so I always feel sad when families have difficult relationships, I would have given everything to have had my parents for longer.
Me too I know it is a way of keeping in touch with relatives etc but some of the stories I have read in the papers put me off, although I understand one can make it secure some how to stop those idiots who become a problem having access.
Just to let you wonderful folks know, am off to Switzerland on Saturday on a skiing holiday, its the first time on my own so although its a package thing am a bit nervous !!. :)
wow this amazing world of ours !! nature can be scary, we have more water in some parts of the uk than we can cope with , with some poor folks all flooded out, unfortunately we humans don't help with this global warming . :(
Love it I just wish I could learn my lines more easily, and Shakespeare can be a nightmare to say :-
"Noble Banquo that hast no less deserved, nor must be known nor less to have done so" groan !!
