Just seen this post, Yes, I live about 7 miles from Oakham Rutland :- pictures swayed, ornaments rattled, cat shot upstairs under bed I think, as she re-appeared later covered in fluff (I'm not a fan of housework !) and there was a funny sort of rumbling it lasted about 2/3 seconds.

Just to change the subject a little there was also that program for the armed forces stationed abroad, mainly I think in what used to be West Germany and Cyprus. Relatives and friends sent in requests for a piece of music to be played. There was also one for children at an earlier time, Uncle...
One thing I have noticed Bill Owen seems to have something wrong with his fingers on both hands as he never opens either of them properly. the little finger plus the one next to it always seem to be closed.
Am not sure about this but I don't think doubles were used in the very early series as I have read somewhere that the canoe capsized and chucked the three actors in the water.

I have been watching a great early one where the three are on a runaway train, I was wondering if anyone knows which station was used by the band and reception committee as the train goes backwards and forwards, its such a good episode.
