    Holmfirth market

I have been to it. It is held indoors and is not very big, as I remember it. I bought an oversized t-shirt with the Holmfirth/Summer Wine logo. I wore it as a nightdress for some years.

    Holiday Brochures anyone??

We have used a local coach company for years and have been to many interesting places in Great Britain. This year though we will probably stop at home. They have got to be so expensive. Not the companies fault, but they are the losers at the end of the day. It is the same with day trips, which...

    question about the post-Compo years

I don't think so. With out looking it up, my feeling is that although we got Christmas themed episodes, they were only half hour ones.

    The new book

It was interesting, but I came away with the feeling that although Alan Bell seems like a nice friendly person, he does not like to be 'crossed'. Comes with the job I suppose!

    New Year

I live in Surrey, but if we walk up to the next village, we are in Hampshire. There must be places on the Yorkshire, Lancashire, borders like this. I wonder how they manage to stay friends of if indeed they do? And can someone please tell me why some people from Yorkshire feel the need to say...

    Other Than Summer Wine........

Roy Clarke's 'Rosie'. PCs, Penrose and Wilmot, were so much funnier than Cooper and Walsh. And another of Roy's, 'Potter', originally with Arthur Lowe, Norris Cole from Corrie, would be a perfect Potter.

My son told me that they had a Morrisons cake and it was dreadful. I made mine again, it is very nice, but I will end up giving most of it away.

    Worst Christmas tv Special

I tried to watch Outnumbered, but the 'supposedly' funny situation of a woman vomiting her way through a party made me switch off. A shame as there were some good bits. We watched Downton Abbey, but only because there was nothing much on. Why do the BBC and the other Chanel's not understand that...

    Where are u all from

I live in Farnham, Surrey, England. A town about the same size as Holmfirth, with it's own castle. I have lived here all of my life. Robert Fyfe once told me he lived here for some years, he was connected to the Redgrave Theatre, since closed down. Reading throught the list of places in this...
