You are welcome. I don't remeber the siren. It was very rarely we travelled into Holmfirth when I stayed there, my Aunt would drag her daughter and me into Pennistone or Huddersfield. The only time I got into Holmfirth back then was when he attended the market.

Hello Martin and welcome. My uncle had a farm not too far from Holmfirth, just up the road from the White Horse and he was on the Crossroads -Windmill Farm - it's since been modernised by the people who bought it, they have ruined it's character it was over 400 years old. I have a lot of happy...

It's not June Whitfield. You are right with Michael Bates, er 'Carry On Columbus' definitely not a children's show ;D The second one was a British TV children's show, which might make it difficult for our overseas members. I don't mind if you scour the web for the answer. The actress is still...

    jokes bad or otherwise.

It is said that the Town of Northampton was originally called Norse Hampton after the Vikings settled here, this was subsequently taken back by the Kingdom of Mercia prior to the Norman invasion. The Mercia victory led to rejoicing amongst the villagers, and caused great excitement among the...

Michael Bates was in the Navy Lark on a regular basis, but I wasn't thinking of June Whitfield as she only appeared in one maybe Two episodes at most. The second show was more recent and a children's show - that may give you a clue - and it was one of the ladies from Summer Wine who was in it...

Totally agree. One thing these people have unfortunately been blessed with is blissful pig-ignorance.

    The Very Last episode

I feel like somebody who has lost a dear friend, but at least I can look back on th happy times on my DV D. I know that sounds a bit mushy, but it's just exactly how I feel. :'(

    The Very Last episode

No Ivy either , which I found sad seeing as Jane Freeman was in it from the start. It was wonderful and had me crying with laughter, but despite what Roy Clarke saying he supspected it was going to end it still had the feel that he wrote that as if the series would be back. I shall neber...

    Series 31

I agree Scruffy, anyone who uses that is just asking for trouble. It usually puts something nasty on your machine just for visiting the PB site, let alone DL anything. It's not worth the risk, IMO.

Glenda is also frightened of mice - she was stood on the table in the episode 'A Short Blast Of Fred Astaire' when Barry was trying to get the mouse from under the cabinet with his wand.

That's right George. Hugh Lloyd appeared in the Reunion as Clarence 'Smudger' Smith and he was also the Librarian in 'The Missing Page' (but that was only a brief appearance). The Blood Donor. my favourite dialogue has to be the classic exchange between Hancock and Patrick Cargill: You're AB...
