    There Goes The Groom...

I love the line between Truly and Clegg and Compo at the reception. Compo "How long was tha married?" Truly "Thirty Seven years" Clegg "That's a long time, you must still miss each other" Truly "Oh, we have missed each other, with half bricks, frying pans, empty bottles" Still cracks me up.

I quite understand, I had to look twice ;D

What is your most popular episode?

I don't live too far from Howarth myself and unless you know the area would have no idea just how far they where meant to have walked in so little time. There used to be a bus that went from keighley to Huddersfield via Halifax and that took Two hours. I reckon as the crow flies it would be a 25...

What is your most popular episode?

I have just too many to even think about it. IF I had to be forced, then I love 'Who's Looking After The Cafe'. Espaecially with Foggy and Compo fighting for the attentions of the customer, Compo's 2 'thin' slices of bread and butter (with thumbprint) and the ham salad with the catterpillar. The...

    Beware of the Hot Dog

I remember another episode with Ivy and Nora chatting in the cafe and Ivy remrked "Nobody cooks these days, they just watch it on television" :D

    Anyone else seen this?

It doesn't appear to be good service. This looks like somebody who copies old TV tapes onto DVD and sells them. They even stae that they have a 'No refund policy' if you are not satisfied, just a replacement for a faulty DVD, I wouldn't touch these with a 10' pole.

    Any more DVD Releases planned?

The best people to ask are Universal playback who own the rights for release, but their website is pretty hopeless and they don't appear to have anything in the pipeline. The other one is to regularly check play.com - where it's cheaper - you can even subscribe to the site and they will inform...

    Appearences by Roy Clarke.

Do you mean the man who is wearing glasses? I don't think it is him. To my knowledge Roy Clarke has never appeared in the series, even in just a cameo.

Statistics and implications for support for the show

Me neither, I even Googled it and came up with nothing other than the site for the Cafe itself ???

    Another Summer Wine comic...

I agree, nice work Clay. We could always write our own stories too, I have seen other TV shows who have carried on as a series in that manner when it has ended.

    Article in the Kent News

Odd isn't it that two such fine actors get nothing while some with all the appeal and talent of a wet lettuce get gongs thrown at them willy-nilly. Peter Sallis is a fine character actor, I enjoyed him in the remake of Witness for the Prosecution with Sir Ralph Richardson (It was one of Channel...

    Things not in Compo's Matchbox

    1. A receipt from Moss Bros. 2. A tooth pick. 3. Shoe polish. 4. Mrs Beaton's good houskeeping guide. 5. Enough money to buy a round of drinks.

    Holmfirth

Me too. It looks really nice there. I am also intending to get accross there in a couple of weeks and take some photo's, although I have not decided just where I will end up yet. I may go to Marsden instead and get some photo's from around there.

    Spotted on utube

Cannot say I have seen many that can be classed as tributes. I have seen a couple of music pieces accompanied by the odd photo, but nothing that specifically relates to a particular character or actor. It would have been nice to see one to Compo and Nora :)

Artical about pearl in the paper

Re: Artical aboot pearl in the paper I suppose not. The words 'Thick' 'Two' 'Short' and 'Planks' could fit snuggly into a sentence with regard to their controllers/management.

Blog on the end of Last of the Summer Wine..

It's crystal clear you hate the show with a passion and have nothing constructive to add to these dabates other than having a dig when and where you can. You either love the BBC so much that maybe you should get a house nearby or you are one those internet trolls who just goes around different...

Blog on the end of Last of the Summer Wine..

I read her 'reply' and it appears that this clown has NO respect whatsoever for the viewers opinions and the only one that counts his hers. Your comments were straight to the point, and I doubt very much if she will follow up with a reply to that as I don't believe she could give an honest answer.
