I know exactly how you feel................ Coming soon............ When? I was thinking earlier 'what if I miss the start date? Why can't they give a start date? I did have the full collection on video tape............ How out of date is that? I bought a Blueray but have never used...
Hello all. I don't know if there's any Ealing Comedy fans out there............., I certainly am! Anyway there's a series being shown on Gold TV in the near future of all the films in this genre introduced by Richard E Grant. Looking forward to it!
I think you'require probably right as perhaps they are not as nostalgic about a role/character they'very played as we are. It could be to them that it'should just another role as many actors don'the like getting type cast.
Thank you Don for your reply. As it's his autobiography we can expect him to discuss the whole of his working life not just LOTSW, although I would have liked him to discuss it more from my point of view. I still think I'll buy the book as I do like autobiographies.

Congratulations to you in setting up and keeping this site going all this time. Also well done to the others who provide input and those who keep the site going! Maggie
Beautiful sunset! I've just been watching a programme about the Northern Dalesman bus journey through the dales of Yorkshire. No commentary or sound just beautiful countryside. So reminds me of mid Wales!
Does anyone remember a comedy called I didn't know you cared? I think it must have been shown in the 70s . It reminds me of LOTSW with its dry sense of humour.
Hello Gill. I don't watch Pointless as I've never really understood the aim of the game. Thanks for explaining Captain and for pointing out all the actors. There's several in the picture I wouldn't have recognised especially 'Herr Flick'!
Jean 'Marina' looks good.
Thanks everyone who had info on these books. I Suppose like a lot of people I was hoping for more 'insider' info on LOTSW, I expect he wanted to focus on the whole of his career.
Hello all
Has anyone read Peter Sallis' autobiography called 'Fading into the Limelight'? Also I believe he wrote a book about his time working on LOTSW. Has anyone read either of these?
Maggie
Hello Dick. I remember watching a programme about the Vikings and it said that this waa a common condition for them. So maybe Compo had Viking blood and this would account for his lusting ways with Nora and other ladies!:01:
