It gave most of it's stars a good start in the business. Most of them have done very well since. Timothy Spall, Kevin Whately, and Tim Healy in particular. I love the accent so it went down well with me. At least they were all real geordies, unlike Brenda Blethin's Vera. I loved the third series...
I have gone all 'trendy' and do roasted vegetables, but the husbands hates them so apart from the potatoes I have to do separate dishes. And I don't usually bother with a joint for two of us we have chops with all of the trimmings.

I like Holmfirth to visit, but I would not move there. Like a lot of other people who watch LOTSW I thought everything was together in the town, but in fact the locations are spread over a very wide area.

I would second that. I also did a quick think about my own town in Surrey. I am surrounded by hills, not the same sort of hills maybe, but they make me puff!
That is nice. One of my smaller relatives is to visit Edinburgh Zoo this week. He wants to pat a crocodile! He is not quite three. He may grow up to be a vet, who knows?
