    jokes bad or otherwise.

I submitted several entries to a pun-writing contest and awaited to see if I won an award. None in ten did.

Would you attend a Candlelight Supper?

I would reply that I was holding out for the invite with "riparian entertainments". And arrive in a wet suit.

Yes, it's a steam train in the USA.

We were on a dinner train for our anniversary recently near Cleveland, Ohio. The attention to detail of the dining car's restoration was impeccable as was the food and service. A line close to us does regular tourist excursions where it travels out to a large decommissioned bridge and then...

    The Summerwine.net music thread

Weird thing this internet AI. Trying to play the two small snippets from the episode in Google song match. The closest (as in 10% probability) is this song that has the same cadence but is obviously way off. I jotted down what lyrics I could make out and "sang" them into google's song match...

I wonder what became of these young ladies....

I was not aware of this either until I noticed on Wikipedia "in the News" nominations. There the feedback is often that IMDB is not considered an appropriate source for citation of an actors' film or television credits. That being said I consider it to, overall, be very reliable.

I wonder what became of these young ladies....

A local chocolatier sells an unusual flavor. Not my thing but may have to try them.

    Gilt edged Barmpot.

As much as I enjoy the later seasons, I like acerbic Clegg from the early on.

    Gentle Comedies

That airs on the weekend here on public television. I catch it when I can. As much as I love SW, this one is hard for me to "get".

Everyone should have one in their backyard

Not sure. The poster's channel appears to have a .dk (Germany) country code. From his web page - doubly fascinating. Plywood and machined metal ain't cheap. http://www.wenneberg.dk/eagle.htm

Mel Torme and Marty Paich (father of Toto's David Paich (Africa, Stranger in Town)). What a banger!
