You expect me to take how many?

Walking outside and using the treadmill is your exercise program! When I was working, I would spend my lunchtime walking in the gardens of the Smithsonian and occasionally observing the ducks at the Native American Museum. This entailed a lot of walking!

You expect me to take how many?

If you can, exercise. In general there are two modes of exercise and that is to lift weights, and to use a bicycle (stationary or regular), The Big E is it!!! There are many studies on general health and the bottom line has always been the same. YOU MUST EXERCISE.

    New Addition to my Collection

Do you have a room in your home that needs an update? Start with that phone and use it as a starting point. Go back to the charity shop and look for other items of that ilk and go for it!

I see the stupid PC world is thriving in the UK as it is here

Yup recently, the PC people took aim at the name of my (ahem) favorite football team and so they were renamed. They still don't have mascot so there is a giant W on their helmets. How does Commander strike you as a team name? Yep, a real winner.

    For Leeds fans

Dogs are so interesting. Some enjoy skateboarding and some enjoy surfing. And some enjoy watching football.

    For fans of Britcoms....

So they took the basic concept of Steptoe and Son, sailed it across the Pond, and remade it into a black lower class sitcom with Redd Foxx as the star. I suppose that it was groundbreaking as it was one of the first black sitcoms. Incidentally, Redd Foxx's real surname was Sanford.

Not working like it used to.

Oddly enough, the TV shows that I like to watch are a type of reality show which features the trials and tribulations of state wardens (animal and forest police officers) with lots of bears, deer, and elk (dead or alive), in/on mountains, lakes, streams, and rivers. In short, lots of nature...

    Dunkin Delight

Yes, I agree. The mere thought of crumbs in my tea is -- not my cup of tea. But, if digestives are offered, I will be glad to have them but not in the tea. And bergamots are a type of citrus fruit, sort of a type of orange and is typically grown in Italy. I think that the zest is used to flavor...

    Football Fumble

Why oh why does my really local TV station choose to broadcast the Sunday (American) football game in Spanish? I first want to say that I have the utmost respect for the Spanish language; but why football? And of course all of the adverts are in English.

    "It's Chriiiiistmaaaaaas!"

Actually, there are things that you can do like working on your Christmas card list, pulling out your decorations and deciding how to decorate, and deciding what gifts to purchase and where to go. These preliminary strategies may work to make Christmas a little less hectic.

    Fireworks

So many things are being banned or changed. Names of high schools, (Amer.) football teams, etc. Let's leave fireworks alone. The people calling for a ban on fireworks probably have an ulterior motive which is to remove enjoyment. Fireworks are to be enjoyed. Many cities and towns have fireworks...

    Curlers

Back in the day (this was before curling irons) when I was in college and it was previously an all-girls college, many girls would put there hair up in gray rollers and go to supper in the dining hall. You could look across the room and see this sea of girls with their rollers. The next year, as...

    My Best Friend's House

Well, I enjoyed this until they got to the part with the men in white hazmat suits. Had to stop it. How gross. As a note, my day is not complete until I've tackled the daily crossword puzzle.

    Football anyone

Last Sunday in church during a baptism, my pastor (who speaks in BBC received) did mention Manchester United. As a note,, this is all across the Pond.

    Good News

Many moons ago, when I was in college one of the items served in the cafeteria was breaded fish with lots of breading and a tiny bit of actual fish inside. I think that that was the Friday supper.
