Although I personally think that knighthoods and honours are ridiculously outdated nonsense, if they’re handing them out to anyone, then it’s nice to see someone like Roy get honoured.

As a prolific writer who brought so much joy to people the award to Roy Clarke is a wonderful testament to the sheer entertainment he has purveyed . Richly deserved huge congratulations to Roy.
