I believe it's nearly 40 years since Live Aid. Did anyone go . I remember watching it on the TV .
That must have been awesomeI WAS THERE !!!!!.......sitting in the stands on the left hand side near the stage....Queen were unbelievable......BUT......U2 playing "Bad" was the absolute pinnacle of the whole Wembley show in my [and many others who were there] humble opinion!!!.
X!.
Queen had been at a low ebb for a few years before they released the album The Works in 1984, which I think yielded 5 hit singles beginning with Radio Ga Ga. I saw them at Wembley Arena in September 1984 and it's still the best live music show I've ever seen. I wasn't even a massive fan at the time, I just fancied seeing a big band in a big arena for the first time. Freddie Mercury was truly incredible on stage. He filled the place with his charisma and his voice was amazing. I don't think they ever played an arena in Britain again, it was Wembley Stadium for their next tour in 1986, and it sold out before I could get a ticket.Watched like you on TV recall Quo and Rockin all over the world , it elevated Queen to cult status it not only offered great entertainment but raised awareness at a time of great suffering , did it change the world , yes for a while but sadly the same issues and more remain.
