The Cars of Summerwine

I was going on the Wikipedia.
I suspect that the inspiration for the episode Loxley Lozenge was the opportunistic barn find of a decrepit chassis by the production team, coupled with the Writer spotting a red XKE convertible. The XKE body, with the top down, resembles a Lozenge. I know, I had one (Series II, no glass overs). When I listened to Wesley's description of the shape of the car to the trio in the pub, I thought of mine. They probably had to work on the Austin chassis a bit, to inspect and make it safe to roll the actors on it. That would have given them time to augment the chassis prop, to make it better fit the story.

The Repo Man's VW Golf.

The original Repo Man who was taking Compos Telly had a red van, which was the first vehicle we ever see in the series. It's a bit before my time can anyone else identify the vehicle ?????

The Ford Escort van that almost runs Seymour over while he is collecting for the church dressed as Santa in Crums.

Also the Ford Transit that Wesley uses to deliver Glenda's water bed, also in Crums

There was PC Cooper and Walsh's Ford Escort Panda car. There had to be more than one, you couldn't keep crashing the same one over and over.
I enjoyed the way the parking ticket and stolen wing mirror were both on Walsh's side of the car!

I was pleased to see Ken Kitson's picture in the 50th reunion photos.
