i have found this episode of bill and peter in character on noels house party and appear from about 18:55 on the video when the doorbell rings

I remember this the first time it was shown.

Really, really funny - I can only assume Roy Clarke wrote this, it's so perfect.

I don't think Roy would let anyone else use his characters.

No worrys saw and episode guide on Google yesterday then I searched YouTube for it took me a while but glad I did would have been nice for Brian wilde to be in it but Peter and Bill more then made up for it

What makes this extra brilliant is that this was filmed live, no familiar scenery, probably a bit of line-forgetting - yet the two old pros completely pull this off.

Great little sketch. I checked up on the end credits and Roy Clarke's name did appear, which proves he did write the sketch. Would Bill and Peter have wanted to play it if he didn't?
