A sleeveless jumper is known as a vest here in New Zealand.To be fair Howard could never be described as " tall " and thus he is a big enough half man of the world to handle two part sweaters as these are sleeveless jumpers [tank tops in my day ]![]()
But have you heard of a ShacketIn the late 60's and early seventies sleeveless sweaters were "gear" or all the rage in English and referred to as tank tops . Cotton singlets /vests also referred to as muscle vests are a different kettle of fish , British Comic Micky Flannagan does a great routine about wearing a singlet won't spoil it sure it will be on You Tube or Social media.
