I'm simply struggling to reconcile a middle-aged mind trapped in an elderly body. And architecturally, I'm still stuck on perpendicular (late) gothic, although I also find the solidity of the Norman style comforting.

Can recommend everything that the Cap listed. Been there, done that, would enjoy a revisit. Love Whitby, partly because I like the HF house just outside town. Could spend another several days poking around and photographing the Abbey...
