Getting conflicting info about this viaduct. It's
either in Thornton or Lockwood. Both are long
viaducts, allegedly unused. Lockwood is near
Huddersfield. Thornton is near Denholme.

It is the one in Thornton, if you look on the maps section you will see it with a picture, I used to live close to it and passed near by many times before I actually went under it and realised it was the one

Thanks Terry. Will try to check it out when we are
over this spring. Looks not far off our way to Howarth.

Yes. I think we start from Heathrow to Howarth (M1
to M62, A629).

Then up to Hawes for a long stay, than back to Holmfirth
and then heathrow and home.

Then be very careful parking in Haworth, the top car park opposite Edinburgh Woollen Mills has a reputation of clamping cars for the slightest reason, you can use the car park by the doctors surgery at weekends and bank holidays, from that car park you can walk through a alleyway to the cobbled street, also there is a large car park by the Bronte museum,I cannot stress enough to keep clear of the other car park, it could cost you £80 for being 1 minute late or parking too close to the next bay,by the way it is spelt Haworth just in case you use a Sat Nav and it cannot find it, Terry

Thanks Terry. We have been staying at a B&B in Howarth
for many years. We either park in their front space after
hours, or use the Bronte Museum lot cheerfully refunded
by the B&B -- Apothecary Guest House. We will of
course have our usual meal in the bar at The Old Silent.
