This afternoon I spent several hours at The RAF Fire Service Museum at Scampton, a great afternoon and well worth a visit,I will post picture soon. They are happy to accept groups from 2 to 200 with a bit of notice and plenty to see, on a dry day you might even catch the Red Arrows in action
 
OOC - what with all the museums etc that you visit, have you
seen:

The Haynes Motor Museum in Somerset or the British
Bicycle Museum in Cornwall, somewhere near Tintagel??

Some very nice looking machines. I like going to museums like that. I went to a motorcycle museum recently, and like taking black and white photos of the machines, and use them in decors. I did a motorcycle themed living room in our house. Motorcycle engine end table, heart shaped exhaust pipes, carburetor sconces, foot peg coat rack.
I'm weird, I know and I have a very understanding wife ;D
 
haha just as well fsj.....cosford air museum in the midlands is free and goodness me its worth a visit.....a good day out for the family.
