I too agree with the "magic" of the tune. It is very soothing. I told the wife that it must be played at my funeral, I love that tune. Hopefully not too soon though

Interesting that Ronnie Hazlehurst did music for many
shows, but this is unusual, very different both
for Ronnie Hazlehurst and for British TV. Nothing
ever else like it.

I LOVE this theme. When it comes on, I relax.

He did the the music for the final Are You Being Served episode. Really humorous. I guess you can call it a send-up.

WETA UK runs Are You Being Served right after LOTSW and so it's very interesting to see Frank Thornton and Trevor Bannister; now (sort of) and then.
