RIP Verny Sedgewick

It has been reported today that Duggie Brown our very own Verny Sedgewick has passed away at the age of 82 . Although he only appeared in one episode it is fondly remembered for his confrontation with Nora . Started life as a standup comedian he was the young whippersnapper on the Comedians and became a household name with the others from that show . He has acted in many shows so really quite versatile. I have seen him in several adverts which must have provided him with some income when
times were perhaps hard . A very sad loss.

I think his most well known routine was the parrot joke on The Comedians.

I loved that scene. This Yank is unfamiliar with the comedian, but Verny Sedgewick might be my favorite single-episode character. I just adore the scene at Nora's.
