Caught part of 'The Most Powerful Eyes in West Yorkshire' yesterday. Noted that it included two policemen and not our usual pair. Both wore helmets which was unusual. Only one seemed to get listed in the cast list, a Brian Baines.

A bit of research then showed up two different from normal policemen in 'Have You Got a Light, Mate', Leonard Lowe (1st) and Rodney Litchfield (2nd). And Brian Baines, obviously a regular extra, was 'Man in Cafe' in that episode.
 
I think the reason the second policeman was not named was because he never had a speaking part.

I seem to remember that Cooper and Walsh had the helmets when the trio dropped the mangle on to the car? :wink:
 
In a couple of episodes they have used real policemen in the background shots

Well no matter who they were, they all seemed to embody the work ethic of working as little as possible; patrolling country lanes, grilling hot dogs, etc.
