Lord Richard Attenborough R.I.P.

An immensely talented man whose film work both as an actor and a director thank goodness will live on.

Yes very sad but 91 is pretty good. It looks like we have all moved up the queue one more place.:(
 
I've been really lucky to be able to see the picasso collection he donated to the New Walk Museum and have seen the portrait of him by Bryan Organ hanging there. Its a beautiful portrait of him and the collection is amazing. He was born a stones throw from where I went to school.

Just had a look at his IMDb entry. Could not fail to note that his mother was born Mary Clegg.

Magnificent career. Just noted he directed 'Shadowlands', a beautiful film.
