Location of Antie's Shop

Hello All,

I have been trying to reconcile the Summer Wine Forum location indicated for
Antie Wainwright's shop (house created as a shop for the location shots) with
what we see in the episodes.

One street landmark that is visible (sort of) in the episodes is a lane
across the street from the shop with a street sign showing something like
"Garfield Place S" (it might be something other than "Gar.."
at the beginning of the street name??)

I have difficulty identifying that particular lane adjacent to the house
identified as "Anties" in the location indicated by the forum.

Another identifying item seen in the episodes is a smokestack
visible looking down the street in front of Antie's with the
shop to your right. It is probbly gone in the Google views today.

Too bad they never ran a Google street view truck down Olive Lane.

Is the location correct?

Hi Mate

The shop is on either Garfield place or Oliver lane depending which way you approach it, but yes the map is correct as the shop is pretty much at where both the streets meet. The shop is now a house, I go to a cafe a few times a week about 50 yards away from it.
 
Greetings "Foggy" and thank you very much for the reply confirming the
location of the house used as Antie Wainwright's shop. Also thanks for
the confirmation that the street sign visible in several episodes is
Garfield Lane (south.)

It would be great if someone who lives close to that area could post
a couple of pictures of the house and the intersection of Olive Lane and
Garfield Place as they look today.

Aunties shop before the clever prop people got to work on it,notice the very large step to the entrance,while filming it is made into several steps for easier access

You take fab photographs. I'd love to go to Holmfirth and the whole area one day.
