Last of the Summer Wine: Vintage 2001

possibly joe, but the BBC and its workings are a bit of a mystery to me...why they couldn't just make all the series available, charging accordingly, is beyond my simple understanding.
 
Probably have not got enough people for a committee and no budget of millions of pounds! You wanna buy washing machine?

Not according to Wikipedia. I recently looked there, on the big List of Episodes page:

Here in UK (Region #2) we have DVDs up to and including Series #23 - went out over a year ago. In US (Region #1) they seem to be lacking Series #1, 2, 16, 22 and 23. In contrast Australia (Region #4) has everything up to Series #24. There they put out the real Series #9 AND 10 in March 2010. And they have had three issues of two series each this year!
 
I am so excited because "First of the Summer Wine" is being released here next week. I know I could have watched it online, but I wanted to watch it on my TV first! ;D
