In their current rotation they have played the first 13 seasons in order up until yesterday with the last 2 of S13 Passing the earring and Pole Star. This morning suddenly they've jumped to Episodes 1 & 5 of S1, Of Funerals and Fish and Spring Fever. The sudden reintroduction of Blamire (my least favorite episodes) into my morning was jolting but even odder is after they air S2 eps 1& 7 on Monday they are finishing out that and the next week with random Christmas episodes (definitely jumping around because Seymour will be on Thursday). That's as far as the listings go, not sure if there will be more Christmas episodes after that. I did the Christmas marathon binge at Christmas so looks like I will be manually DJ'ing my mornings for a bit.
 
Gold and any other UKTV brand have been doing this sort of thing for years, along with adverts and edits, so it is so nice that can can buy the complete series box set often for under £50 online, just have to keep an out on the major online options
 
Changed their stance , in a reply a few years back why I requested an answer as to why they didn't show I was a Hitman for Primrose Dairies they stated it was a Christmas episode [no mention of xmas in it] and that viewers would not appreciate seeing a xmas episode at any other time than xmas so here in March they are to show Xmas episodes :mad::02:
 
I got on to post this very thing. I do like Compo's date eating her plate of mushy peas though, lol! I do have the complete set, but it's just nice to sit down and hit the remote though. My gosh, how lazy have I gotten?

I would actually be welcoming if they hadn't done them all in December.

I too have all the episodes I could watch at anytime but I enjoy them nestled between other great shows on Gold. Not only is that a fab start to my day I get exposed to shows I haven't seen and discover new favorites like recently with "My Hero".
 
I saw that was on, I believe I saw a couple of minutes of it? It was a woman talking to a baby, that had an adult head and could talk. Is that the show? Seems the phones always rings when I want to look at something..

Yes, the people on the planet the superhero (Thermal Man) is from have pregnancies that last 6 days, the baby came out talking. Much of the humor from the show is from his not understanding Earth culture, taking things literally at inopportune times and trying to not reveal his Thermal Man identity when not in costume.
 
Interesting, I'll have to keep watching, They put the green,green grass on and that looks pretty good, so I've started watching that too..

Hadnt heard of that one.. being an OFAH tragic I'll have to look for it... we dont get good comedies in AU anymore... just american crap

Green Green Grass is OK, I'm in my 3rd round of it with Gold and usually go off to something else when it comes on. With the LotSW Christmas episodes I am giving Gold a hiatus from my mornings, I found video for My Hero and I've got a couple other shows sitting in my queue I've been wanting to get to.

That's so cool Barry. I go out of my way for Gold, most of the TV here is complete rubbish! Mindless drivel that revolves around sexual innuendo, booze and drugs. I watch old classics here, and British telly, and I'm happy...
