Compo's thoughts

Compo could be quite philosophical on occasions. One that springs to mind,
"I don't know how anybody can go jogging, when, with a little extra effort they could chase Nora Batty"

Agree George, he could be quite philosophical at times.I remember him one time saying something along the lines 'Whatever way you look at it, the worst thing about poverty is having no money'

Infinity - it means the sky's got no lid on it.

Somewhere in the post-Compo period this line, or
one like it, was used again. Heard it only a few days ago
so I should be able to find it. Maybe a Billy line???

My line is from Greenfingers. He gets even deeper, comparing the two mirrors opposite each other in a takeaway shop to infinity - when all the time you're inside a tatty fish and chip shop! Very philosopical, almost Clegg-like.

He should be able to hit that space between them gates Foggy, after all he hit that cyclist and you should've seen how small he was.

I forget the exact dialogue but Wesley is waxing a bit lyrical about Seymour getting Wally to teach Edie driving "I cant imagine how I thought he was a pillock" Compo comes back with "that'll soon return!!"

The opening line from "Car And Garter"...

"How do you get marmalade off a ferret?"

Not particularly philosophical, but a funny and wacky way to open an episode.

"I could fancy living tally with a barmaid.
It's the nearest thing to seriously overdoing it a working bloke can get"
