Before spend days hunting through the Google map of Balby, where was this photo taken? It looks as though it ought to be an alley somewhere near Lister Avenue, but I can't place it.

I would imagine this is the rear of the shop in the alleyway, now blocked by gates

Although I am from "Scouseland" my mate lived next door but two from the shop !!!!...[he was an Evertonian just like me !!].
When I visited him it was a ladies hairdressers....I kept expecting a boooooooming voice shouting " G,G,GRANVILLE !!!!!!...FETCH YER CLOTH !!!!!!!".
