Over the last few days, when I cruise to www.summerwine.net,
I get a Website Not Found error and a list of possible
sites with similar names I might want. After a bit, there
you are again. Howcum???

Is this a ME? Or a YOU? kinda problem??

The site does seem a little slow at certain times of the day, though there's not much we can do to change that I'm afraid. The site itself hasn't been down at all for over a week. Last outage was on the 3rd April.

Yes, I think it mat be my internet provider (Frontier) because
when I get the nasty-gram, it has a Frontier header stating
that summerwine.net was not accessible, and listing a few
other sites with summerwine in their names.

Perhaps Frontier's server has lost contact with some UK servers???
In any case, I am back online. thanks for the responses.

I was on twice very short times, but it was running slow for me over the weekend. (middle TN). Would have to wait about 30 - 45 seconds for page to load. Funny my impatience for something so trivial. Can't wait 30 seconds.:unhappy:. spoiled with high speed internet.:(:16:

Again this morning, around 8 am EDT was not able to
get on to summerwine.net. Back up around 8:45. Any
idea why? When I try www.summerwine.net, my browser
can't find it and offers me alternatives. Now all is well.

Hi,
Both the main site and the forums have not had any downtime for quite a few weeks. The only thing that springs to mind is that the cross Atlantic internet traffic is very slow between those times. 0800 EDT would relate to about 1300 GMT (or should that be 1200?) which is when we would expect a bit of a slow down (though it shouldn't be to such a severe extent).
I really can't think what to suggest, only that I'm very sorry for the ongoing problems.

I am beginning to believe that this all has to do with
my ISP Frontier. Similar stuff happened to summerwine.net
and a couple of torrent sites from overseas as well.

Could be the busy morning trans-atlantic stuff or Frontier
is having probs. In any case, not my job!

thanks

chuck
