Unusual Trip

In a couple of weeks, myself and a couple of friends are travelling on the new LNER Azuma train to Edinburgh, all for £80 first class return from Newark, due to a diversion when we get to Newcastle, then the train will switch to diesel and reverse back out and go across country to Carlisle, then take the West coast line to Edinburgh. adding 90 minutes to the usual journey time, if it all goes wrong does any member have a couple of spare rooms in Edinburgh.

Just finished watching part of a television show in which Julie Walters takes a couple of trains from Newcastle to Edinburgh and has several adventures along the way. She visits a secondhand bookstore that used to be a train station on a line that no longer exists and then finds out that the bookstore owner also heads a company to rebuild that line. I never did see the end of that show. Watching shows about riding on trains usually brings on a a nap.
