Where was the area where Compo was on the runaway ice cream bike. It had some picnic tables. Does anybody know.

It was near water, perhaps a reservoir.

I am almost sure it was filmed at Yeoman Hey reservoir/Dove stone reservoir...at the far side of Saddleworth Moor..nr Greenfield.This location has been used before in the episode titled.. Who's feeling ejected then

I'm not sure but possibly the show began at almost the same spot next to the resevoir that it finished at.
