A new series of the Great British Sewing Bee starts tonight on BBC One at 9.00pm. We watched previous seasons and are very much looking forward to seeing this one. Usually very enjoyable.

I could say I don't see the point of this show but I won't as that would send the thread into freefall. It isn't a patch on Mr Lycett's channel 4 comedy ouput but as reality tv goes it's not the worst and whilst it doesn't have me in stitches latest series is sew far sew good!

Woman here fascinated by all the male viewers. Must be a different caliber of men round here, all the men I know would chuck a shirt out if it lost a button rather then saw one on.

Following the cries of [No] More! here you are...

The show is woven with good examples of how not to do tv but Joe more often than not isn't told to button it. The very fabric of the feelgood atmosphere is interwoven throughout the episodes that people are darting to switch on and judge the material for themselves. Here's hoping for no wardrobe malfunctions!
