Be careful if you use the Royal mail website to cost any postage,as at the moment it works the price out at the old rates and not the new rate since 1st April
 
I thought new rates start on 30th April but have also heard that packets are goign up as well as letters.

I might invest in some carrier pigeons ....

You are correct I misread the dates on their booklet,I will fire myself
