Roy Hudd

A great comedian , his knowledge about Music Hall and the acts that toured the Halls was second to none .When looking for someone to play Max Miller on stage and a TV Documentary who else would you turn to . I have a few books about the Music Hall history aside from his own book and in every one it was Roy who was asked to write the Foreword and for good reason because he was so passionate about the subject. He was of course Lionel in the Spores episode and of course he starred for 26 years with fellow Summer Wine actress June Whitfield in the News Huddlines not on IPlayer at the moment but hopefully it will be as a fitting tribute . A very sad loss
