Theres a lot made of the fact that Compo's father was an absent party but we never hear anything about Foggys father. Looking at it his father is never mentioned either in First or Last Summer Wine.
 
You don't think Howard asked Marina about her Papa's health during a long conversation on one of their famous bike rides . In other words in that lengthy escape was some of it about a bit of how's your father ! Oh Matron!! :eek:

Perhaps he died in an on-the-job accident, or of natural causes shortly after Foggy was born, and his mother couldn't bear to talk about him. In that case, he wouldn't have been a factor in Foggy's upbringing.
