It's funny how something so ugly can look so bonny.
 
I seem to recall that Will Self thinks cooling towers are not that bad.

I remember when the pair near the M1 at sheffield were demolished - lot of people quite sad ....

The ones at Tinsley, yes, they were a landmark as when they came in to view on the M1 you knew you were almost into Sheffield.

A lot of people went along when they were demolished and it was around 1 or 2 am.

Where I live there is a golf course at calverly and on a clear day you have a stunning view that even takes in as far as Drax PS and a couple of others.
