I have seen today that the French mime artists are taking industrial action . They have been out on the streets of Paris in force of course their placards are blank but they are very dextrous at presenting what their disquiet is . As the day progressed the scenes of violence increased and the riot police had to step in and deploy wind cannons to disperse the crowds
