Interesting that 3 of the third men were introduced in specials

Do you think this is coincidence or were the specials experimental on characters, plots, etc. I wouldn't know since I have yet to see the specials.
 
well when you look at it you could only say Seymour was the experimental one seeing when filming the 3 specials that introduced the third man that was the only one not made with a series, Truly's and Hobbo's specials were made with a series i just think with it being a special episode it made sense to introduce someone new in it perhaps
