Cant stand surfing on the phone... but then I have 3 x 27in screens on my office desk, and 2 on my home desk LOL

I use a 60" TV as a PC monitor. I usually sit about 4 feet away, wearing readers, have the browser set to 150% magnification and still occasionally have to bring up the on-screen magnifier. I'm a tad nearsighted.

While I do read notifications, such as when someone comments on a watched thread, on my phone, I prefer to really read the forum and type comments on my computer. It is much easier to see to read and certainly easier to type on a keyboard than on the phone for me. It is a laptop, but it lives pretty permanently on top of my desk.

Just a couple explosions and he'd convert that $100K+ Tesla into a proper petrol engine car he could work on.

Well, I've only ever used my laptop as it's the only access to the internet I have. I can't see that changing for many years yet.

I would say Laptop although the functionality of the Chromebook is almost like a Tablet.

In case anyone is interested, my fix-it guys have assured me that the desktop is going to be a museum exhibit in about two years.
